Whether you’re beginning your music journey or refining your artistry, I offer personalized learning opportunities grounded in creativity, musical excellence, and whole-person growth.
My purpose is not just to create art, but to also inspire & create space for as many artists as possible.

Piano
Play, Sing, & Compose.
Lessons are custom for every level, ages 4 & up. We focus on technique, practical theory, performance, creativity, expression, & developing your voice. Whether you want to prepare for a recital or competition, incorporate singing, explore composing & improvising, or dive deeper into your practice, I’ll guide your path with patience & joyful motivation to explore on this incredible journey of a lifetime!
On piano, you can perform on your own, in a band or ensemble, or lead whole groups of singers/musicians.
Once you can play the basics & understand some theory, it makes it easier to sing or play additional instruments!
Flute | Electric Flute
The coolest, most portable instrument. IMO
You can put a flute in a backpack, play in the wilderness without any electricity, play in an orchestra, with a band, or connect it to a world of electronics.
My flute students perform with the Charlotte Youth Symphony, their school/university bands & ensembles, or the Charlotte Flute Choir.
Ancient & transportive - one of the earliest musical instruments to ever exist!
It fits in any scenario from melodie to flurries of textures and color, and it's more rare in real life scenarios than other more common instruments. I bring mine everywhere & I always tell students - you never know when you're going to need a flute!

"She's very patient and she will answer all questions and won't move on to the next lesson until you feel comfortable. She goes above and beyond and I highly recommend utilizing her as an instructor. Elizabeth has a great personality and I wish I would have started by beginning lessons with her a long time ago."

“My Twins boys (6yrs old) have been attending Piano sessions for past 6 months with Great Instructor and Composer Elizabeth. My boys really feeling happy every time they step-in her studio and learning with much interest. Elizabeth is so patient in teaching them and also repeatedly until they make it right. She encourages my kids in lot many ways. So happy to know her and so thankful for being music instructor for my kids. I would like to strongly recommend her to anyone who wishes to learn music.”

“Elizabeth has been my 12 yr old's piano teacher for about 1.5 years & my 15 yr old's flute teacher for about 1 year. She has a great disposition with the kids and is patient. She has taught them to play duets with each other and with herself which is important for the musician to learn. Elizabeth is very talented as she plays different genres of music with her flute & piano!"

"Elizabeth has been my teenage son's piano teacher for going on two years now. She has been such a wonderful teacher and my son absolutely loves her! It's so rare to find someone like her who takes such a genuine interest in their students' development. She is a teacher who has gone above and beyond to broaden the horizons for her students, and she's personable and makes it fun! She may not even realize it but she has been, and is, a key part of my son's future and my only regret is that we didn't find her sooner. If you're looking for a teacher for a child or even for yourself, you can't do better than Elizabeth!"

“Hey it's kinda a stretch, but I used to be one of your students for piano and I just wanted to say even though piano isn't my first choice, I can't have anyone to thank more for the passion I have for music and how happy it makes me.”

"I attended piano and flute lessons with Elizabeth for almost 10 years. She’s so so supportive and became a sort of mentor for me over the years. She always pushed me to try new things and explore my passion for music. I always enjoyed our lessons! She made them fun and interactive, while also making sure I was learning to reach my full potential. She unlocked so many doors and opportunities for me. Because of her, I was able to excel greatly in music composition, theory, and just playing instruments in general. I would definitely recommend her for any student looking to explore music!"

“I’ve been taking music and piano lessons with Elizabeth for the past year. While I had beginner piano lessons as a child and have dabbled on and off as an adult, one of my main goals was to feel comfortable accompanying my voice on piano—covering songs and eventually writing my own. Elizabeth helped fill in the gaps in my foundation, gave me clear structure for practicing, and most importantly, helped build my confidence in both performing and playing with others. Beyond the technical skills, she supported me in reconnecting with music in a deeply meaningful way - one that allowed me to process grief after a series of losses. I am incredibly grateful for her guidance and can’t recommend her highly enough as a music teacher. She truly meets you where you are and helps you get where you want to go. Thank you Elizabeth!!!”
My Purpose
During the pandemic, I witnessed how intentional art could change lives, provoke thought, show new perspectives, & hold much-needed space for connection & community. It hit me - my purpose is to create as much of this art as possible. This is what world needs most. This means I should not only strive to be the best artist I can be, but it means inspiring youth, developing & guiding new talent, creating space for other artists, & supporting current artists to do the same. That's how we multiply the ripple to go as far & wide, as fast as possible, for as long as possible. That's how we make people feel, think, and connect. It's up to us. Everyone's path is unique and equally important, and I learn from my students & colleagues as much as they learn from me. It has been my honor of a lifetime to serve as a guide to so many on their musical journeys!
